Steve Karas is the President of sales for Hyster Yale Materials Handling. In his role Steve oversees all aspects of sales for the North and South Americas which accounts for $2.8B of revenue. Prior to assuming the role of President of Sales in July 2024, Steve was Senior Vice President, President APIC for Hyster-Yale Group. In this role, Steve led all aspects of sales, marketing, finance, and aftermarket functions for the Hyster® and Yale® lines of products, as well as their extensive distribution network. In addition, his responsibilities included all Hyster-Yale Group products and lift truck services, financial services, fleet management, major accounts and dealer relations for the Asia Pacific India and China. Mr. Karas also was responsible for the global manufacturing facility in Fuyang, China. Prior to joining Hyster Yale Material Handling, Steve served in operational and supply chain leadership positions for Fortune 500 companies Textron, Dover, and Maytag. Mr. Karas holds a BA in Materials and Logistics Management from Michigan State University is a certified Six Sigma Greenbelt and also participated in the Thunderbird School of Global Management Executive Leadership Program.Steve serves on the board of directors for Sumitomo NACCO Forklift, located in Japan.
