About Stephen Jackson

For over 38 years, I’ve had the distinct honor of working with EY (Ernst & Young, LLP) mainly in our International Tax and Transaction Services practice with an exclusive focus on companies investing into the US. Working in a business landscape where so much is outside of our control, I thrive on centering my time and energy on where I can truly make a difference. My career trajectory has been outside the norm. I’m one of the only International Tax partners at EY whose focus is on bringing investments into the USA. This specialty is an outgrowth of my first days with the firm in my home office of Buffalo, NY. It was the training ground for my later transfer to Canada where I lead the US Tax Consulting group in the Greater Toronto Area and then the US Corporate Tax Advisory practice for all of Canada.My experience was full of innovative and cutting edge opportunities. I co-developed a legal entity structure and ran this subsidiary for our EY global organization in Canada. This broadened the scope of my business expertise and gave me a deep appreciation for the need for diverse talent and looking at issues from various points of view.When transferring back to the US, I brought with me a deep passion for two things: serving as an ambassador for prioritizing inbound investments as a strategic differentiator for our National Tax practice, and developing the next generation of diverse leaders. Beyond work, I’m deeply invested in teaching and leveraging my experience to serve impactful organizations. I volunteer and am a Director for the Old Fort Niagara Association, which is a non-for-profit that preserves, interprets and brings more than 400 years of history to life. I also serve on the Board of Trustees for Canisius College, chairing the Finance & Facilities Committee. I welcome the opportunity to connect with you!
