Project lead (Sept 2020 – current): Responsible for executing contract deliverables by providing technical oversite of project within a multidisciplinary team. Duties include: OEB classification, project planning, raw material ordering, plant schedule booking, interaction with clients, liaising with other departments, specification setting, and ensuring on time manufacture/release of API.Process safety team member (July 2018 – current): Departmental specialist group responsible for all aspects of process safety, including: review and approval of process safety assessment reports (PSARs) prior to allowing a chemist’s process to be scaled up in plant, upkeep and use of process safety instruments, dissemination of safety information and implementation of process safety recommendations. I have a working knowledge of most process safety techniques (DSC, RC1, RSD, ARC, ATLAS). I am the departmental subject matter expert on heat flow calorimetry, delivering a lecture series on the subject and facilitating the installation of a new RC1mx, as well as writing the accompanying user guide. UK Chemical Reaction Hazards Forum (UKCRHF)(Sept 2022 – current): Site representative and member of the UKCRHF, a collaboration of the UK’s top chemical manufacturing sites, whereby knowledge is shared, and process safety learning is spread to prevent incidents at scale.Batch document review team (Aug 2022- current): Select group of experienced process chemists that review and pre-authorise batch records before they can be executed in plant.Team lead (Sept 2019 – current): Responsible for a team of 3 process chemists. Responsible for my team’s training, compliance, half-yearly progress reviews, objective setting, competency assessments, and reviewing their work prior to presentation/submission.Lab lead (Jan 2020 – current): Responsible for daily functioning of a 4 person lab.
