ABOUT STEPHEN HIMSWORTH
Accomplished Offshore/Onshore Construction Supervisor and Rigging & Lifting Technical Coordinator with extensive experience delivering complex construction, maintenance, and decommissioning projects across the energy sector. I bring a proven track record of providing critical technical oversight, ensuring safe and efficient execution, and driving projects to completion within demanding schedules, budgets, and quality frameworks. My career includes a significant tenure on the Equinor Mariner Project, supporting the full lifecycle from FEED and fabrication in South Korea through to successful offshore completion in the North Sea. This experience strengthened my capability to manage intricate operations in dynamic environments while maintaining an uncompromising focus on health, safety, and operational excellence. I have also served as Offshore Construction Supervisor (OCS) for the Ithaca Energy Enhanced Oil Recovery Project, overseeing the installation of a new subsea caisson, seven flowlines, seven pipe spool cassettes, an underdeck winch platform, and an underdeck riser access platform. My responsibilities included supervising the installation of multiple valves and spools and ensuring all activities met stringent safety and quality standards. I additionally supported heavy lifting operations at the Nigg yard, coordinating mobile crane setup for the subsea caisson lift. Across numerous major projects for various clients, I have consistently delivered results from design through to commissioning. I am recognised for my ability to work independently, apply broad technical knowledge, and develop practical, compliant, and safe solutions. My collaborative approach enables me to work effectively within diverse teams while maintaining a disciplined, detail‑driven mindset. Committed to continuous professional development, I actively expand my technical expertise and industry knowledge. Proficient in Navisworks 3D modelling, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, I leverage these tools to enhance planning, coordination, and reporting across all project phases. I am now seeking my next challenge—onshore or offshore, in the UK or internationally—where I can contribute my experience, leadership, and dedication to a forward‑thinking organisation that values integrity, safety, and high performance.
