About Stephen Henry
Specialties: Along with all the skills necessary for Chief Engineer I also develop software for the Broadcast industry. I specialize in Closed Captioning, recording(ingest) and transcoding applications.All software is developed in C++Applications:HDSDI to MPEG2 encoder with 608/708 Captions.Closed Caption insertion into HD MPEG2 elementary streams.Decode Line 21, convert to ATSC 608/708 then insert into an existing MPEG2 stream.Pitchblue AVC to MPEG2 transcoding with captioning intact. My station was the first in the nation to air Pitchblue transcoded content.608/708 Caption verification.Developed software to play MPEG2 and H.264 on Deltacast or Blackmagic Decklink cards for Broadcast purposes. Software currently used on 12 full-power network stations. Responsible for all transmitter maintenance. Planning logistics of getting tower-mounted components repaired.Experience with Acrodyne, Rohde & Schwarz, and Gates.Very strong RF background as I build microwave transceivers in my spare time.Capable of sweeping tubes, transmission lines etc…
