I live and breathe technology. This is great for my career, though occasionally frustrating for my family when the Wi-Fi goes down because I’m experimenting with a new network configuration. Just kidding, my network never goes down;)I am a tinkerer at heart, whether I am optimising a home automation script or re-architecting an enterprise distributed system, I have a compulsion to understand how things work and how to make them run better.Professionally, I channel that obsessive curiosity into building resilient software and empowering high-performing organisations. With over 16 years of experience, I’ve transitioned from deep-dive coding in C#, C++, and Java to leading global engineering functions. I don\'t just manage teams; I build the ecosystems they need to thrive.I describe my leadership philosophy as \"compassionate geekery.\" I believe that world-class engineering happens when you treat developers like people, not resources. I view my role as a servant-leader: removing blockers, coaching future managers, and creating the psychological safety required for innovation.What I actually do - • Scale & Build: I recently helped scale an engineering department by 300% to over 200 people, establishing a remote-first powerhouse by recruiting global talent while maintaining the world-class culture that allowed that team to deliver state-of-the-art Gartner magic-quadrant leading products.• Drive Efficiency: I love a good metric. I’ve directed technical strategies that achieved a 50% faster release cycle and increased release frequency by 200% through robust CI/CD integration.• Bridge Business & Tech: I don’t believe engineering should exist in a silo. I’ve championed FinOps strategies to link engineering output directly to business value, ensuring we build the right things at the right cost.• Stay Hands-On: While I focus on strategy, I speak the language.
