Responsibilities- Procuring A/E and Construction services in accordance with FAR regulations for projects on core federal assets, such as courthouses, ranging from small contract values of to capital projects worth Duties include, but are not limited to- Implementing various procurement methods, including performing market research, that ensures sufficient competition and provides maximum value to the tenant- Drafting and issuance of RFPs to private industry contractors- Leading meetings for pre-proposal site visits and project kickoffs- Drafting and administrating contract awards to the winning bidder- Working closely with a team of engineers to monitor the status of existing projects and engage in negotiations for any contract modifications- Protecting taxpayers’ money by negotiating fair and reasonable pricing for task orders off of Regional IDIQ project delivery vehicles. Additional Achievements- Aided a procurement analyst in creating the Regional PIC site, which is used as a reference point for best practices and mandatory policies by fellow contract specialists and contracting officers in the region- Worked on a team to create the procurement section for the Regional Desk Guide, which acts as a procurement road map for colleagues to follow- Serve as the regional administrator for several IDIQ project delivery vehicles where my role is to review projects and determine if they are acceptable to execute off of my IDIQ- Received national recognition by the GSA Administrator in 2023 for Excellence in Government Contracting for an emergency garage repair at a courthouse in Alexandria, VA. Each member of the project team was given certifications recognizing the achievement- Presented a “Cyber Monday” presentation to the organization on how to properly execute emergency repair projects- Throughout my career I have awarded over worth of A/E and Construction Services.
