I currently work as the General Manager for the Central Yard Complex at BAE Systems - Maritime Submarines in Barrow-in-Furness where I initially started as an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer in the shipyards drawing office. This is an exciting business full of the challenges that might be expected from being involved with the Design, Build and Commissioning of probably the most complex machine on the planet (Astute). We are also designing the successor to the Vanguard Class of deterrent submarines which offers long term opportunities for Engineers, Project Managers, Planners, Quality Professionals, Facilities Engineers, ERP Specialists and experienced Operations Managers.
