Pickering B Refurbishment Feasibility Program - Front end planning for conceptual study of refurbishment of the 4 unit Pickering B nuclear plant. Coming full circle in my career with the proposed rehabilitation of this plant that I assisted on commissioning in the early 1980’s. With proposed improvements, this plant should be able to provide the province of Ontario with a proven base load capacity of ~2300 MWs of carbon free electrical energy for the next 30 years. Powering the Ontario economy on in a fiscally prudent and environmentally responsible manner well into the 2060s.

ABOUT STEPHEN ALLEN
Proven skills and experience in the areas of commissioning, operations, outage execution and all facets of project management from project conception through detailed engineering design, manufacture oversight, testing, installation, commissioning and field deployment and operation. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in unionized work environments leading to cohesive, engaged teams focused on safety, quality and timely delivery of reactor maintenance projects in a cost effective manner. My objectives are to continue in this field after retirement from OPG as I enjoy applying my skills and experience to the challenge of executing reactor maintenance projects in a focused team environment.
