ABOUT STEPHANY OSPINA CORAL

I\'m an International Lawyer, ESG Advisor, and independent strategic consultant with experience across Canada, the United States, Australia, and Latin America. I help North American and European organizations navigate the real complexity of operating in Latin America, and I help Latin professionals build deliberate, accelerated paths into the Canadian and North American market. When companies move into Latin America without the right strategy, they don\'t just face legal exposure — they face political, cultural, social, and climate-related obstacles that no compliance checklist anticipates. The risks aren\'t only financial, they\'re reputational, ethical, and governance risks that erode trust, invite litigation, and damage relationships with the communities and stakeholders that determine whether a project actually succeeds. And when Latin professionals arrive in North America without a strategic roadmap, their expertise gets undervalued and their path takes years longer than it should.I work on both sides of that gap.For organizations: I translate regulatory complexity, ESG risk, and political, cultural, and climate context into executive-ready strategy. I\'ve helped Canadian corporations identify critical obstacles to project development across the Andean region and Central America — turning potential blind spots into managed risk before they became reputational crises, governance failures, or grounds for litigation. My work spans due diligence, ESG compliance frameworks, stakeholder engagement strategy, sustainability reporting and disclosure (GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB, CSRD), and alignment with international frameworks including the Paris Agreement and the SDGs — with deep knowledge of Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Honduras. For professionals: I\'ve coached 50+ Latin professionals to align their career goals with their personal paths and immigration strategies — helping them move from uncertainty to a clear, executable plan for building their professional life in North America. I also work with Latin American business owners looking to develop their strategic exposure to the North American market. What makes my approach different is that I don\'t separate the legal from the human, or the strategic from the contextual. I\'ve lived the complexity of building a career across cultures and legal systems. That lived experience, combined with rigorous legal and ESG expertise, is what I bring to every engagement.
