At Wise we organise engineering teams into squads. I lead the Scalable Growth squad, i.e. all the engineering teams who help Wise to reach new customers at scale and in a sustainable way. Roughly 30% of Wise\'s new customer growth is driven directly by this squad\'s work, and we assist other teams with a further 30%. My teams- Recommend: we run the refer-a-friend scheme which rewards Wise customers for introducing their friends and family to us. We\'ve delivered truly phenomenal growth from this team, and continue to, even in more mature markets and with the company being 12 years old already- Comparison: driving transparency in the industry by doing the hard work of uncovering what our competitors *really* charge, and helping our customers to understand it too - Organic Growth: we built and continue to build an incredibly successful range of \"SEO Products\", which have had huge (positive!) impact on Wise\'s blended payback, generating millions of incremental visitors to Wise.com. This team also runs the CMS platforms that support other marketing teams in their publishing (millions of incremental visitors there too)- Marketing Platform: handles all MarTech, any engineering projects and integrations to help the Marketing Tribe scale its impact, and runs our comms platform, supporting CRM for millions of customers - Localisation: we support Wise in 15 languages and counting; this team launches new languages, supporting them throughout the product, marketing, and support, drives quality in the product in those languages, and helps tailor marketing for local markets Our objective is to reach everybody in the world who needs to move money internationally, at the lowest possible cost. This is important because we want to, eventually, make international payments truly free of charge: no hidden fees, and no dishonest exchange rates.
