ABOUT STEPHAN KOLOSSA
I am a German qualified lawyer in my own boutique law firm and an in-house lawyer with a special focus on (international) data, AI and technology law. As a technology-savvy lawyer with a passion for interdisciplinary and international work, I have made it my mission to develop innovative solutions at the interface of law and technology, particularly across borders. With an understanding of both the legal and the technical and economic aspects of complex issues, I support both companies and public administration in developing legally secure and future-oriented strategies and in pursuing the path of digitalization in a sensible and legally secure manner, while making maximum use of the respective potential. I attach particular importance to communication between different disciplines as well as languages and cultures. In addition, due to my academic connection to both the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Technical University of Braunschweig (TUB), I strive to make a scientific contribution in the field of data and technology law, both through my research and teaching. My publications include more than a dozen articles in the field of international law (e.g. Max Planck Encyclopedia of Comparative Constitutional Law, Oxford University Press) as well as data and technology law (e.g. Privacy in Germany, PinG; Data Protection and Data Security, DuD).
