About Stephanie Wells
My research broadly focuses on improving the effectiveness of and engagement in evidence-based psychotherapies (EBPs) for Veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Additionally, my research examines how PTSD EBPs can be delivered through various modalities and formats to increase engagement and clinical outcomes. I am the PI of a VA Career Development Award examining accelerated PTSD treatment delivery in VA. I am also a Co-Investigator and Site PI on other federally funded grants.

Clinical Research Psychologist
Jan 2023 — Present
I serve as the principal investigator on a VA career development award (CDA-2) examining the feasibility and acceptability of massed delivery of evidence-based PTSD psychotherapies in VA PTSD outpatient clinics. I also serve as a site-PI of a multi-site feasibility trial examining the feasibility of group compassion meditation for Veterans with PTSD. My program of research aims to increase engagement in evidence-based PTSD interventions, improve how these treatments are delivered, and examine alternative treatments that may complement existing evidence-based PTSD treatments.
