About Stephanie Siek

I\'m a career journalist with a unique combination of writing, editing and curation skills who is passionate about bringing accurate, useful information to listeners and readers. I\'ve edited writers at a variety of skill levels and helped them present the best version possible of their stories about economics, small business, domestic and international news. I\'ve written everything from daily local news to international news for international audiences, from long-form narrative to breaking news tweets. I\'ve gathered information via social media, reluctant sources, and dusty archives. A few of my journalistic interests: How the economy is lived, race and ethnicity, global angles on local stories, immigration, the Black diaspora in Germany and Europe, multiculturalism, the quirky and counterintuitive, investigative journalism, narrative journalism, international journalism.
