About Stephanie Sandleitner
Hello! I’m Stephanie Sandleitner, a senior at Binghamton University majoring in Social Work. This spring, I will be graduating with my bachelor’s degree, completing it in just under three years at the age of 20. This fall, I am taking the next step in my career by joining the police academy, working toward my goal of becoming a criminal investigator. During my internship at the Public Defender’s Office, I had the opportunity to collaborate with office investigators, which solidified my passion for investigative work—analyzing details, uncovering key information, and advocating for fair outcomes. I have always been drawn to understanding people—what motivates them, what challenges they face, and how to support those in need. Whether in social work or law enforcement, my goal is to create meaningful change and advocate for individuals who may not always have a voice. Outside of my professional aspirations, I have a deep appreciation for exploration and new experiences. I am passionate about sailing and will be earning my sailing certification this summer while traveling to different ports and immersing myself in diverse cultures. Living in upstate New York, I also enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors. Additionally, I have a keen interest in thrifting, as I appreciate finding unique items and giving them a second life.
