ABOUT STEPHANIE ROBERTSON

Stephanie is the founder and CEO of SiMPACT Strategy Group (SiMPACT). Throughout her career, she has served as a senior advisor to project leaders and executives in the for profit, non-profit and public sectors. Stephanie has decades of experience in social issue management, measurement, and reporting; community investment and social value. Her expertise has helped hundreds of clients to assess the value of investment in community and across society, which has led to improved outcomes, enhanced reporting, and a broadened understanding of the concepts of social and environmental value creation. Her clients and partners include for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Stephanie’s work supports the community and social impact vision of many businesses operating across a diversity of ownership structures. She has worked in industries that include telecommunications, banking, energy, pipelines, mining, cooperatives, and credit unions. Social impact areas that have been the focal point of her work include social enterprise, education, health, entrepreneurship, crime prevention, social procurement, apprenticeships and job creation, construction, financial literacy, local economic development, and mental and physical health, among many others. In 2005, Stephanie launched, and continues to facilitate, the LBG (London Benchmarking Group) Canada network: Canadian companies that act to strengthen society through voluntary community investments. Through her leadership, LBG Canada is the champion of a standard definition of corporate community investment as a key part of the ‘S’ in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting and disclosure. As Founding Chair and current Board Member of Social Value Canada (SVC), Stephanie is empowering a growing movement of professionals to maximize the value of their organizations\' social and environmental actions. A member of the Social Value International Board, in various roles, since 2015, Stephanie became Co-chair of the Social Value Internal Board in 2023.Stephanie is a graduate of Trent University and with an MBA from London Business School (UK). SiMPACT was founded in Calgary, Alberta, in 2004, and has been co-located in Toronto since 2009.
