About Stephanie Richmond
I am the Founder and CEO of Stand Beside Them, Inc, a 501 (c)(3)non-profit charitable organization. By providing free coaching and/or mentoring to our transitioning military and their families, our mission is to help them create the bright future that they deserve. Whether it is in finding employment, starting new businesses, completing their educations, improving personal relationships, assessing for new vocations, or locating health care to fully meet their needs, our Stand Beside Them (SBT) coaches are here to help veterans transition successfully to civilian life. Our website is Linkedin Interest Group: Stand Beside Them: Coaching for Veterans.After graduating the coaching program at NYU, I specialized in coaching people through life\'s transitions, and re-integrating back into civilian life after deployment is one very difficult transition. Thousands of returning military service members are not having their needs met, and many are unaware of the resources available at the community as well as at the state and federal levels. We are dedicated to empowering our veterans to fulfill their amazing leadership potential. They are our country\'s greatest national resource. I have been a government relations lawyer (The Peace Corps, the National Music Publishers Association, the National Association of Manufacturers), and a business owner (The Lecture Circuit, Inc.) I\'ve also been a journalist (Washington Bureau Chief for The Hollywood Reporter), and an assistant TV producer (working on political/Washington segments with Dan Rather of CBS News). I love traveling and speak French and Spanish.The seminars and classes I\'ve attended on neuroscience, positive psychology, mindfulness meditation, eastern philosophy, and personal coaching (through NYU\'s program) have helped me understand that transformational change is possible at any time!
