A key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief of Staff is a trusted advisor, collaborator, and implementer that streamlines priorities across the organization. Working in tandem with the President & CEO, I manage the goals and objectives of the Senior Leadership Team and am responsible for the effective execution of projects originating at the executive level. An extension of the President & CEO, I drive alignment cross-departmentally with executive priorities and expectations top of mind. I’m a liaison to the Board of Governors and manages relationships of key stakeholders within the President’s Office.A primary strategic pillar of the organization, The Chief of Staff oversees the People & Culture area as Glenbow undertakes a significant transformation of its physical building, but also its operational model and best practices. This includes oversight of organization wide human resource strategies, tools, and tactics to foster the development of a strong organizational culture.Key projects and deliverables include: development of organizational strategic plans including mission, vision, and values with CEO; change management strategies to support staff and organizational growth; navigating complex relationships and shifting priorities between members of senior leadership; identifying and executing new business policies and practices; executive leadership of Directors and other staff members; long term workforce business planning; and organizational culture development.

ABOUT STEPHANIE PAHL
As a passionate, values-led professional in the non-profit industries, my love for arts and culture has led me to hold numerous positions within fast-paced cultural institutions, where strategic leadership, dedication, and execution are keys to success. I’ve played a pivotal role in two major cultural projects, first at National Music Centre and currently at Glenbow. The inaugural Chief of Staff for both organizations, I’ve made a demonstrable impact on the organization’s executive leadership and alignment, organizational effectiveness, and culture as they rapidly scale operations and offerings to meet the needs of the community in which they serve. As a champion of arts volunteerism in the city, I serve as Chair of the Board of Alberta Music – the provincial music industry association supporting over 500 artists providing advocacy, professional development, and performance opportunities to advance careers in the creative industries across the province. My skills in building and maintaining long-lasting relationships add important expertise on a leadership team. Throughout my career, I have cultivated a diverse range of non-profit management skills in progressively senior roles. My primary experience is within driving organizational efficiency and alignment, managing external and internal high-profile relationships, organization wide and departmental strategy development, human resource strategy and operations, and leading a wide range of operational business units including fundraising, marketing, visitor experience, IT, business development, board governance, and executive administration.
