Independently Contracted for services for Educational Institutions and Businesses including serving as Investigator, Hearing Officer, Mediator, Advisor, Interim TIX Coordinator-Civil Rights Investigator (formal complaints) and Fact-Finding Investigator (informal complaints) investigates all accepted discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints cases.Conduct Civil Rights Model and fact-finding investigations to include preparation of Investigative Plans (IPs), document requests; interview complainants, management officials, and witnesses; compile, review, and analyze statistical data; develop and write Report of Investigations (ROIs); and when appropriate or required, provide high level information pertaining to resolution of complainant concerns to the client point of contact(s)-Provide updates and prepare and submit weekly status reports to assigned program manager-Conduct telephonic, in-person, video interviews, or prepare interrogatories-Proactively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with client case managers and investigators-Spellcheck, proofread, and edit, draft and final reports and prepare case files in accordance with required policy, client requirements; then submit the draft or final report of investigation to the assigned Manager for quality review-May prepare, hold and execute formal hearings of behavior as hearing office and perform final agency decisions based on required evidentiary standard-May perform formal mediation (require updated certification)-May serve as advisor to parties to help navigate policy, rights, responsibilities according to agency policy-Review and respond to all emails received the same business day or within 24 business hours-Manage private, sensitive, and confidential matters-Function in a high performing environment, as part of a team and individually.
