The digitising social care programme is a joint unit of DHSC/NHS colleagues delivering on the government\'s commitment to use digital technology to transform the Adult Social Care sector. I have a broad and wide ranging remit, working in collaboration with policy and programme colleagues to support the achievement of targets and embed an understanding of the digitising social care agenda and vision across internal and external programmes of work. This involves stakeholder strategy, channel strategy and messaging in order to engage with and reach a diverse audience mix form internal teams to hard to reach, disengaged providers. I advise and support colleagues on comms approaches, raise awareness of social care among healthcare colleagues and ensure that the distinct communications needs of our audiences are embedded into broader programmes of work being delivered and planned by other teams in NHS England (for example data strategy and convergence of systems). I provide communications guidance and input to ministerial submissions and brief both NHS and DHSC media teams to ensure on any concerns/reactive lines. I also represent the digitising social care team on the DHSC and NHS communications response process to cyber attacks which impact the adult social care sector. Reporting back to relevant emergency response cells and tailoring cleared content to cascade to the sector.
