About Stephanie Pollack
Over a lengthy leadership career in the public, private, academic and non-profit sectors, Stephanie Pollack has established a reputation for building consensus and crafting and implementing pragmatic solutions to public policy and infrastructure challenges at the local, state and federal level. After a decade in senior leadership positions in state and Federal transportation agencies, Stephanie Pollack is currently a senior fellow at the MIT Mobility Initiative and consulting on transportation policy strategy and improving transportation project delivery. She most recently served as a senior advisor to US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg on implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and improving delivery of projects funded by BIL. Prior to that she served in two senior transportation leadership positions, first for six years as Secretary and CEO of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and then for two years as Deputy (and Acting) Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration in the US Department of Transportation. Throughout her career she has applied a data-driven and people-focused approach to a broad range of issues in addition to transportation, including land use, affordable housing production, transit-oriented development, sustainability and climate, environmental justice and lead poisoning prevention. Before her government service, she spent many years in advocacy and consulting roles and helped to design, teach in and conduct research at Northeastern University\'s School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs.
