Provide quality careers education through the delivery of a focused and impartial careers curriculum across the senior school, encompassing the Gatsby Benchmarks, a best practice guide for Good Careers Guidance. The Leys Careers and Higher Education programme includes organising a range of enrichment activities and events throughout the year - industry-specific skills workshops in partnership with professional institutions and local businesses; networking opportunities; renowned key note speakers to deliver inspiring talks on their own careers experience; an annual Careers Forum each spring; Lower Sixth Skills Workshop for employability skills training; higher education support, presentation and talks; assisting with work experience placements, work shadowing, mock interview practice, CV writing workshops and one-to-one guidance; and supporting UCAS, degree apprenticeship and further education applications.Work closely with The Leys Development Office to utilise OL network to participate in the speaker series, offer careers advice and work experience opportunities, helping to facilitate strong links between Leysian pupils, old and current.Elected member on the school\'s SSCC, a Consultative Committee and forum for ideas and information sharing designed to promote effective communication with senior management and Governors.The Leys achieved an \'Excellent\' in their most recent Independent Schools’ Inspectorate Report, and was named East Anglia’s Independent School of the Year by The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2024.
