About Stephanie Gargone

Over the course of my educational experience as a classroom teacher, I have had the privilege to see students transform into autonomous, goal-oriented scholars as a result of the commitment to building strong relationships, acting with high expectations and consistency, and providing the adequate resources to thrive in a classroom setting. My experience as an educator in Detroit, Michigan reenforced my belief of how important it is to provide every scholar with the opportunities to elevate their voice, connect with one another, and consider their classroom a place they can call home. After spending five years in the elementary classroom, serving as a classroom teacher, as well as a Lead Teacher and an ELA instructional coach, I transitioned to a middle school role in Pittsburgh, PA. As I continue to develop as an educational leader in our community, I plan to perform at the highest level to ensure as many students as possible feel supported and have access to an equitable educational experience. A large part of this involves intentional collaboration on the teacher, administrative, and community levels to provide the necessary resources. The opportunity to mentor and further develop professional peers aids in ensuring that our students are receiving the highest quality of instruction and growth. My goal in education is to serve as guide, support, and leader in the educational field both inside and outside of the classroom.
