About Stephanie Fruia

I create engaging and inclusive training materials for corporations and curriculum that meet the training outcomes of the institution. With my Masters in Instructional Systems Design and Technology and my eye for inclusive design, I create courses built with learning sciences that are engaging and are equitable for all learners: I structure the curriculum on a needs assessment that identifies the organization\'s goals, needs, and audience for the training. Then, through a collaboration with the organization\'s Subject-Matters Experts (SMEs), determine whether a course or training IS actually needed and which method of instruction should be utilized, an eLearning course or an Instructor-Led course. I will continue to work with SME\'s throughout the design of the instruction and determine if perhaps additional learning material is necessary.\': The project I am most proud of is an instructor-led and eLearning course with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice over \"Officer Safety.\" The courses is designed to be utilized by both Parole and Probation officers: TDCJ\'s Officer Safety course offers its users the flexibility on how the Department can implement the course and that either group can individualize its training at any moment through the strategic design of the instruction and learning aids.

   I collaborate with the Learning and Development Team to determine the organization\'s goals, needs, and audience for prospective training. Then, through a collaboration with the organization\'s Subject-Matters Experts (SMEs), decide how the trainers plan to utilize the eLearning course through Camtasia. I will continue to work with SME\'s throughout the design of the instruction and determine if perhaps additional learning material is necessary.\': One project I created was an e-learning course with the Learning and Development Team over Cooley\'s iManage Upgrade and decommission of Filesite and Desksite. The courses are designed to be utilized by secretaries, paralegals, and attorneys: iManage Upgrade courses offer its users flexibility on how and when they engage in the eLearning course through the firm\'s LMS system.
