A Group role reporting to the Head of Legal Affairs and Group Company Secretary and engaging with an array of legal and governance related matters. These include the Group’s ESG reporting; its ESG Committee, and preparations for the Group’s quarterly Board and Committee meetings in Bermuda. Duties include, but are not limited to:• ESG reporting: Drafting the Group’s CDP response by collating information and responses from across the business and at all levels; reviewing numerous ESG rating agency reports and working with the relevant agencies (including MSCI and Sustainalytics) to update the content as required. Assisting with the drafting of the Group’s UN EP Principles of Sustainable Insurance statement; the Group’s TCFD statement, and the Group’s ClimateWise report. Collating data and liaising with an external consultant to draft the Group’s Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report, SECR report and surrounding narrative in the Annual Report and Accounts.• ESG: Secretary to the Group’s ESG Committee and member of the Group’s Climate Change Working Group, undertaking tasks as required for both groups including peer reviews; assisting with the drafting of the Group’s ESG Framework and ESG Strategy; acting as a central point of contact for ESG related queries and undertaking research as required regarding the regulatory frameworks in place and opportunities for the Group to improve its reporting.• Drafting: Various documents including the Group’s Board and Committee meeting agendas, and preparation of the meeting materials; preparation of the Group’s ESG Committee agenda and meeting materials; preparation of the Group’s UK Corporate Governance Code checklist for review and a quarterly Legal and Compliance update to the Group’s Board. Drafting and proofreading various sections in the Group’s Annual Report and Accounts.• Member and attendee of the International Underwriting Association’s (IUA) ESG Committee and Climate Risk Committee.
