ABOUT STEPHANIE FIGUEIREDO

Let\'s dig in! I recently completed an Honors Double Major in Organizational Human Resources and Finance at Western University & currently working @ TD as an ambitious Commercial Banking Associate. As a driven and adaptable professional, I have gained a wealth of transferable skills through my diverse range of experiences. My time as an Enterprise D&A Communications Intern at TD Bank taught me how to efficiently manage tasks and meet strict deadlines using Excel, as well as how to form strong relationships with vendors and distribute content to a large audience. Working as a Professor\'s Assistant at King\'s - Western University, I developed my ability to design assignments that address core course objectives and to collect and screen data to support research efforts. Additionally, my role as a Catastrophe Claims Analyst Intern at TD Insurance equipped me with critical skills in de-escalation, crisis management, and fraud identification. I am also proud of my extracurricular involvement, which has honed my leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills. As a BMOS Representative for the King\'s University Student Council, I raised funds, organized events, and advocated for student needs in faculty meetings. Meanwhile, as a former KEMS President and writer for the MEM Magazine, I recruited and managed teams, developed strategic objectives, and promoted data and analytical skills through competitions and podcasts. In addition to my experience and transferable skills, I am passionate about the intersection of finance and psychology, particularly in the field of behavioural finance. I believe that understanding how individuals make financial decisions can greatly inform how financial professionals approach their work. I am also drawn to client-facing roles, where I can utilize my strong communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and help them achieve their financial goals. I always look forward to making new connections and am always open to having a coffee chat to discuss a shared interest or experience!
