ABOUT STEPHANIE BORDEN

I am tactful and imaginative. Always creating innovative ways to triumph over the challenges in life and the workplace. I strive for personal and professional development by choosing to step out of my comfort zone whenever the opportunity arises and am always up for taking on difficult/complex projects. I have advanced computer operating skills and a high technical aptitude. Learning new concepts and ideas is extremely exciting for me. I communicate effectively and enjoy working with diverse groups to resolve organizational issues. I graduated from CSU Long Beach with my Bachelor\'s Degree in Healthcare Administration in August 2014 and studied abroad in Hamburg, Germany. While in Germany, I had the opportunity to visit the German Parliament and the Ministry of Health, as well as the concentration camp, Nuengamme The entire experience was life changing and absolutely incredible. In addition, I completed a one year internship with Molina Healthcare from September 2013 to September 2014. This gave me a great deal of hands on experience working in healthcare, which in turn helped me to develop my skill set in specific areas, such as Medicare/Medicaid, EMR, Human Resources, HIPAA Compliance, Healthcare Analytics, and Risk Adjustment. I currently work as a Sr. Project Coordinator for Optum/United Health Group. I have been working in this capacity for almost 4 years now, conducting risk adjustment CMS audits for ACA and Medicare Advantage health plans. I am looking to expand my horizons and find a position where I am able to grow more professionally. I recently obtained my AHIMA CCA Coding certification.
