ABOUT STEPHANIE YARNELL-MAC GRORY

15+ years clinical experience, Pharmaceutical Medical experience (early-stage product assessment to product launch), research and clinical trials experience, government and policy work, public health, cybersecurity, and Board experience.I graduated undergraduate studies summa cum laude with Highest Honors with 3 Bachelor of Science degrees (Biology, Microbiology, and Ecology); I earned the CURO Scholar Seal for undergraduate research excellence, as well as induction into 12 honors societies, including Phi Beta Kappa. I then joined a combined MD-PhD Program (an ultra-competitive program requiring completion of both graduate and medical school inclusive of a full dissertation research project). My PhD work concentrated on the interface of clinical infectious disease and environmental sciences tracking an emerging epidemic of mycobacteria. I earned numerous awards including induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the American Academy for the Advancement of Sciences Excellence in Science Award. I graduated top of my medical school class with Honors in Medicine.I completed Internal Medicine internship and an Adult and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency at Yale University; I was on the Neuroscience Research Track where I won multiple awards including the APA Research Colloquium for Junior Investigator’s Award, Area 1 Award, and the distinguished Thomas P. Detre Award. I also served as Chief-Resident. After residency, I completed the Law and Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale (#1 ranked) and served as Yale Science Diplomat to Washington, DC advocating for science in policy. I then completed the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale (#1 ranked) and was involved in multiple legislative projects in Connecticut.After Fellowships, I joined faculty at Yale and Brown. Simultaneously, I took on the roles of Assistant Chief of Psychiatry for the State of Rhode Island and Chief of Forensic Services for the State. I served on Governor Gina Raimondo’s Opiate Overdose Taskforce as an Expert Advisor.Later, I graduated top of my MBA class with Honors from Duke University’s Global Executive MBA Program and completed Duke’s Health Sector Management Program. I served on the Judicial Board and was selected as a Fuqua Scholar, CEI Fellow, FCCP member, and named the Health Sector Management Leadership Award recipient. I also completed cybersecurity training at Duke.In 2022, I transitioned to industry- joining multiple boards, a biotech start-up, and Sanofi’s accelerated leadership program. I am currently in Global Medical Leadership in Vaccines.
