About Stephanie Whitehorse

As a registered patent agent, engineer and manager with over 20 years of experience in various stages of product commercialization, I am passionate about moving cutting edge technology from the lab to commercial application. My early engineering experience in product development consulting taught me the complexities of developing and commercializing new products in a wide variety of industries with many different stakeholders. As as an Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Expert, I routinely evaluate new technologies and manage intellectual property protection in the fields of biomedical engineering, medical physics, mechanical and civil engineering, micro and nanotechnologies, materials and processing as well as electrical engineering, computer science and software. In my current role, I also manage a team of IP experts, oversee federal IP reporting and work with WARF’s General Counsel, WARF staff and the university community to revise and implement WARF\'s intellectual property management strategies.
