About Stephanie Serriere

I am a passionate researcher, scholar, and values-driven leader dedicated to advancing higher education through a focus on community, human connection, and meaningful civic engagement. My work centers on fostering inclusive environments where youth voice is amplified, and innovative strategies empower individuals to create lasting impact in their communities.I serve as the Director of the IU Columbus Honors Program, where I mentor high-achieving students to reach their fullest impact potential while fostering a culture of academic excellence and civic responsibility. In addition, I am proud to chair Faculty Affairs at IU Columbus, working collaboratively to support faculty development, equity, and shared governance.As the Director of the iEngage Youth Civic Empowerment Camp, I lead initiatives that inspire young people to become active participants in their communities by equipping them with the tools, and principles for youth voice and action.In recognition of my dedication to building inclusive communities and fostering meaningful connections, I was honored to receive the 2025 Indiana University MLK Day Building Bridges Award. This reflects my belief in the power of education to unite people across differences and inspire collective action for a better future.
