About Stephanie Seiple

I\'ve spent my 20+ career in music, media, and live entertainment, building platforms, leading teams, and driving growth for artists, companies, brands, and audiences.I started at BMG and Sony Music during the industry\'s shift to streaming, learning an early lesson in adapting quickly and finding opportunities in disruption. Since then, my work has spanned business development, partnerships, communications, and content strategy, always focused on creating impact and driving growth where culture and commerce meet.As VP of Business Development & Communications at Azimuth.ai, I led partnerships, growth marketing, and industry outreach for a global music SaaS startup. I worked directly with C-level leaders, developed go-to-market strategies, oversaw content, and managed cross-functional teams to bring new tools to market for artists and their teams, venues, promoters, and other key industry stakeholders. As Founder and President of Tri State Indie, a creative agency and music publication, I built the business from the ground up by leading operations, partnerships, and growth. We produced marketing campaigns and activations for venues, promoters, brands, and nonprofits that drove measurable sales and visibility. With a team of in-house staff and 50+ contributors, we covered thousands of concerts and festivals each year, grew the platform to nearly a million monthly readers, and secured partnerships with sponsors including Vitaminwater, Chevy, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Verizon.I\'ve also held leadership roles with indie record labels in Nashville, touring and brand agencies, concert production companies, and the School of Rock. I\'ve also served on the Recording Academy board for over a decade and was part of Philadelphia\'s mayoral-appointed Music Industry Task Force, advising on the city\'s creative economy and testifying before the city council on resolutions and policies.Alongside this work, I produce and host Asses in Seats, a live music-talk show for music fans with the energy of sports radio, raising funds for charitable partners like MusiCares® and NIVA/NIVF.Music, Human Connection, and Experiences Are Everything. So, let\'s connect and make some magic happen!

Experience

  1. Founder Executive Director

    Music Media Collective

Jan 2024 — Present · Los Angeles, CA, US

Music Media Collective was created in response to the rapid disappearance of community-based music media. As more independent outlets vanish and radio becomes less local and more syndicated, artists, venues, and fans are losing vital pieces of the ecosystem for discovery, connection, and concert promotion. This decline doesn’t just impact music culture. It directly affects the livelihoods of people working across the music industry.MMC exists to change that. We are building a collective community that brings together those already doing the work: journalists, radio hosts, podcasters, photographers, videographers, publicists, and content creators across both traditional and emerging platforms. Through collaboration, shared resources, and a strong support network, our mission is to restore access, visibility, and opportunity across the music media landscape. But music media professionals cannot do this alone. In addition, we’re collaborating with artists, venues, and various industry allies to create something stronger because this affects all of us. Built by and for the industry, MMC offers opportunities for membership, leadership, and collaboration through town halls, think tanks, and live programming. Collaborative flagship initiatives include Asses in Seats (a live music talk show), Legacy and Legends (an event and interview series), and Cratedigr (a fan-powered platform for live music reviews and artist discovery).I oversee organizational growth and scaling efforts, community outreach, communications, programming, and overall operations.
