About Stephanie Sarkar
Stephanie Sarkar is a graduate student at UTHealth Houston School of Biomedical Informatics (SBMI)- Public Health Informatics program. She completed her undergraduate studies at the McKelvey School of Engineering, Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), in Computer Science, Bioinformatics and Pre-Medicine. While at WashU, she was an elected representative to the Student Union and played an active role in several organizations related to her interest in Computer Science, Biomedical Research and Medicine. She worked part-time as a teaching assistant at the McKelvey School of Engineering and as an undergraduate researcher at the Washington University in St. Louis Medical School campus. She spent a study abroad semester at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS) Copenhagen.
