ABOUT STEPHANIE PARKER

I decided to go back to school for a nursing degree shortly after I got married. Upon graduation, I had landed my dream job as a NICU nurse at one of the best Children\'s Hospitals in the country. I loved working with babies. Caring for the tiniest of humans is one of the most fulfilling and rewarding experiences imaginable.After a few years, I was ready to start a family of my own. My husband and I went through some fertility challenges, but, after a year of \"trying\" and a complete workup with specialists, we were finally able to get pregnant on our own. I took some time off of work once my son was born, but after a few months, was eager to get back to the hospital.Fast forward a few months later, and we started thinking about adding a second baby to our family. For whatever reason, we thought it\'d be easier this time around. When it was taking just as long, we started focusing on what we could do to improve the chances. Eat better. Exercise more. Get enough sleep. And then a friend shared some troubling statistics with me about the personal care products I was using every day. I switched everything out for safer options and got pregnant soon after. I continue to care for tiny humans in a Level NICU, and I also share everything I\'ve learned about using safer products with anyone who will listen! The long term effects of some of the chemicals in the products people use every day are still unknown. I love to educate others about the need for change in the billion dollar beauty industry and I am a proud advocate for more health protective laws in the United States for ourselves and our children.
