About Stephanie Newland
As the Director of Belong Disability Ministry at Highland Park UMC, I am responsible for providing quality opportunities and programs for individuals with disabilities. I am passionate about creating places where everyone feels they belong, and I use my MBA and BA in Biology and Spanish to develop and implement strategic plans, manage budgets, and oversee staff and volunteers. I also leverage my skills in Spanish, voice, and piano to coordinate and produce creative projects that showcase the talents and stories of individuals with disabilities. I am the executive producer for the feature-length documentary, Into the Spotlight, which releases in Fall 2023 and highlights the impact of our musical theater program. I have presented at national and local conferences on how to create and sustain inclusive arts programs. I enjoy working with diverse and collaborative teams, and I am always eager to learn and grow.
