Disability and Emergency Preparedness Equity Educator @Arizona Statewide Independent Living Council

I work in partnership with the disability community and other key partners to educate, inform, and promote accessible, inclusive, disaster planning. I coordinate and support the Arizona Statewide Access and Functional Needs Taskforce. I work collaboratively with Centers for Independent Living (CILs), local and state emergency managers, and other partners in regard to emergency preparedness response, recovery, mitigation, and preparedness. I provide guidance and technical support to local, county, and state agencies to assist with ensuring that people who have disabilities and those who have access and functional needs have equal access to programs and services.
