ABOUT STEPHANIE STEPHANIE WEAKS MELVILLE
I work for the Federation of American Scientists, on detail to the US Department of Education as a K-12 Data Science Education Impact Fellow. I\'m a former Central Office High School Math Coach for the San Diego Unified School District. Also a proud member of the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics, the National Council for Supervisors of Mathematics, and the America Statistical Association, and avid member of several Data Science forums. I\'m passionate about bringing dynamic change to TK-12 education, and currently leading the Data Science initiative in San Diego Unified, aiming to increase access to rigorous STEM courses by creating flexible pathways to graduation, hoping to help historically excluded populations gain entry to fields in which their voices are desperately needed.
