ABOUT STEPHANIE MCDOWELL

Hi! My name is Stephanie McDowell. I graduated from Gemini School of Visual Arts and Communication majoring in concept art and illustration. I was a 2D artist at a mobile game company in the Austin area doing concept art, illustration, storyboards, and graphic design. Now I am an illustrator doing key art, illustrations, box art, promotional art, and other assets at PicturePlane Imaging for video game companies and production companies. I have experience with freelance commissions doing portraiture, graphic design for business cards, logos for companies and music artists, t-shirt designs, illustrations, paintings, and sketches. I have a strong work ethic and I’m on time with project deadlines. I have a robust, flexible skill set that can adapt visual styles and can learn what I set my mind to. I am an excellent self motivator generating my own ideas from thumbnail to rendered finish. I’m very efficient and creative at world and character building for a cohesive theme. I implement different software and processes into my workflow as needed. I am an enthusiastic team player eager to help, always eager to learn, receive feedback, and contribute. I’m great at reference gathering for projects. And I have outstanding communication and organization skills.
