About Stephanie Manrique
I am a fourth-year Biosystems Engineering student at the University of Florida, passionate about applying engineering design and data-driven problem solving to advance human health. My focus lies at the intersection of biological systems, biomedical devices, and translational research, and I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering to continue developing technologies that improve patient outcomes. My academic journey has been shaped by hands-on research in bioengineered tissues, biomaterials, and nanoparticle imaging, as well as industry experience at Medtronic, where I contributed to quality engineering projects for the Renal Denervation program. Beyond research, I serve as the Vice President of Research for SHPE, where I founded the organization’s inaugural research team and lead UF’s largest student-run engineering research symposium. I’m also actively involved in Generational Relief in Prosthetics and the Biomedical Engineering Society, bridging innovation and mentorship within my community. Let’s connect!
