ABOUT STEPHANIE LING
A translational scientist and AI strategist with over 15 years in drug discovery, the last decade in biopharmaceuticals, I work at the intersection of spatial biology, data science, and AI innovation - shaping the scientific and data strategies that will define the next generation of drug discovery: connecting the right data to the right biological questions. My background spans biomarker development, multi-omic platform deployment, and data science across Oncology, CVRM, and Respiratory and Immunology. An experienced matrix leader of global teams, I have championed AI transformation from the ground up: defining roadmaps, architecting data foundations, and building scientific capability to work with these tools in practice. I work at the interface of academia and industry through strategic partnerships and cross-industry consortia, and am a Fellow of the Royal Microscopical Society. I believe we are at a fundamental inflection point in drug discovery. AI is not simply a faster way to do what we already do - it is reshaping how we interrogate biology, connect preclinical mechanism with clinical outcome, and unlock biological insight at a scale and resolution not previously possible. This is a pivotal moment for the field, and I am excited to be part of it.
