About Stephanie Koster
Stephanie is currently Managing Partner of Subutai Capital Partners, with investments in the space and defense manufacturing ecosystem. She is also CEO of Defense Technologies Inc, an acquisition company with holdings across the Americas. Stephanie brings over two decades of executive leadership across aerospace, defense, advanced technology, and corporate finance. She is known for architecting scalable enterprise systems, structuring complex capital strategies, and driving operational transformation in growth and innovation-intensive environments.Prior, Stephanie was CFO, Director, and Treasurer of Blue Origin where she led business operations across the company’s U.S. and international footprint—including its Washington headquarters; Texas suborbital test and launch site; Florida orbital manufacturing, launch, and landing site; Alabama rocket engine plant; Washington D.C. office; and Blue Origin International, LLC in Paris. Her scope also included program management, supplier management, cybersecurity, Human Resources, IT, and enterprise risk. She also served as Treasurer of the Blue Origin PAC, aligning financial governance with strategic policy initiatives.Earlier in her career, Stephanie held senior leadership roles at The Boeing Company in global strategy, venture capital, and corporate development. She managed Finance and Strategy for the Boeing Global Venture Capital Fund Portfolio—comprising 31 funds across five continents—and Boeing Ventures. As a member of Boeing’s Corporate & Strategic Development Council, she executed M&A transactions including new entity formations, divestitures, re-financings, licensing, and spinouts.Her strategic work supported next-generation satellite and situational awareness technologies, with extensive international engagements across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and U.S. defense markets. Internally, she served as Finance and Strategy Manager to establish Boeing’s Office of the CTO, its Environment, Health & Safety Group, an Australian R&D Center, Korean and Middle East Simulation Centers, and its first direct foreign investment in Asia. She also twice chaired Boeing’s International Finance Symposium.Stephanie’s board experience includes roles with the National Test Pilot School, a $2B investment/merchant banking firm, and multiple strategic advisory boards in emerging technology sectors. Stephanie holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Washington and a BA in Economics and Accounting from Calvin University. She is a licensed CPA and previously held a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
