About Stephanie Hunter
I have been working with children and adults that experience disability and co-occurring mental health needs for 23 years. I started my career as a direct support professional in residential, vocational, and in-home settings. I transitioned into administrative and program development roles and eventually found behavior support was my calling. I have over 15 years of hands-on experience providing behavior consultation throughout the state of Oregon, including mentoring new behavior professionals. I am wholeheartedly passionate about supporting families experiencing crisis situations, centering diverse and historically excluded family voices, and supporting all families and people that experience disability to feel safe, respected, and included. I enjoy training and mentoring behavior professionals and would like to support much more diversity in this field for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, Neurodivergent, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
