Stephanie Hastings has 30 years of specialized expertise in water law and has played a leading role in California’s most complex and precedent-setting water matters. Stephanie brings a wealth of experience to the acquisition, maintenance, protection and management of water resources and water rights. Her practice spans every aspect of California and national water law. She represents the interests of all water users—wholesale and retail water providers, public and private corporations, agriculture, government enterprises, investment funds and banks, land developers, data centers, and home builders, traditional and renewable energy developers, high tech industries, and ski and golf resorts—in both transactional and litigation matters.Since 2025, Stephanie serves on the firm\'s Executive Committee.Stephanie is co-founder and co-chair of the H2O WOMEN CONFERENCE. The conference showcases leading women professionals, their work and contributions to the water industry with the goal of empowering women to change the way we manage California’s and the world’s most important resource. Stephanie also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Aquaya, a nonprofit research and consulting organization dedicated to advancing public health by improving drinking water worldwide.
