About Stephanie Estabrook
Engineer & Plangineer | Collaborative Leader | Effective Communicator | Solution Finder | Analytical Thinker | Modeler | Water & Sustainability Advocate | Team Motivator | Knowledge I realized my childhood dream of becoming a professional singer was a bit out of reach, I discovered another passion for civil engineering and water resources. As a Project Engineer at Woodard & Curran, I am an innovator, plangineer, and designer of water infrastructure projects that sustain the communities around us and ensure that vital water and sanitation services are resilient for future generations. As a licensed Civil Professional Engineer in the state of California, I bring a unique and holistic perspective that bridges the gap between engineering and planning. Although I\'ve developed a niche for master planning, hydraulic modeling, capital program development, asset management, and water resources planning, my professional experience includes a variety of water projects from conception to design to construction management. I am dedicated, hardworking, and always seeking challenging opportunities for professional growth and development where my leadership, communication, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills can fuse and shine. My aptitude for softer power skills like relationship building, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and inclusivity add value to my technical expertise. They have allowed me to build trusting relationships with people in all sectors and career levels. My effectiveness as an employee manager relies on these skills, so that I can successfully provide mentorship to and advocate for my staff to foster a supportive, growth-oriented, and productive work environment.I am an experienced leader and have developed these skills through both my work experiences and my voluntary participation in professional organizations. I serve as the Young Professionals Committee Chair for the American Water Works Association and am an alumnus of the Water Education Foundation\'s 2024 Water Leaders Program.Outside of work, I am likely spending time outdoors on a run or playing ultimate frisbee, singing in a community choir (or my shower), cooking, hiking, or (let\'s be realistic) on the couch watching some TV. I\'m a proud graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Engineering and a huge UConn basketball fan.#GoHuskiesConnect with me for career opportunities, networking, and other professional engagements!
