About Stephanie Elliott

I graduated from Miami University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology & Health, and the University of Kentucky in 2014 with a Master’s of Science in Exercise Physiology. At Miami, I was a double major in Exercise Science and Health Studies, with a minor in Sociology. During my time at Miami, I worked 2 jobs, was involved in various extracurricular activities, completed 2 internships, and in May 2010, I received the Service Leadership Award. After graduating from Miami, I worked 55-60 hrs/wk as a Corporate and Sales Recruiter. In August \'12, I joined UK as a graduate student where I received a full scholarship. I was a Teaching Assistant, teaching 4 undergraduate courses/semester. I worked 3 additional jobs, and completed 3 internships in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabs and physical therapy while going to school full-time.From 2012-13 I assisted in a research lab focusing on causes of CVD, and the onset and prevention of CVD. I have become proficient at analyzing pulse wave velocity (cfPWV), and analysis measures to determine arterial stiffness, as well as VO2max exercise tests. I presented a poster on this research at the NAA conference in 2014.After graduating from UK, I began working PRN for Baptist Health Lexington as an Exercise Physiologist in Cardiac Rehab while working three additional jobs. Shortly after, I was offered a full-time position with UC Health in Outpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehab.
