As the Human Performance Improvement (HPI)/Safety Culture Lead, Fluor, SRPPF Project, I am currently leading the initiatives to establish a tailored HPI and Safety Culture program for the SRPPF Project. This role involves designing a customized approach to better understanding why errors occur and implementing targeted strategies, through training, procedures, practices, and discipline-to reduce the likelihood of those errors. A key part of this initiative includes the development and rollout of the \"TAKE 2 for Safety\" program, which encourages workers to pause, assess risks, and make safer decisions in real time.In the role of the Safety Outreach Specialist, I am responsible for developing and facilitating monthly project-wide safety meetings, creating engaging safety communications such as safety sheets, stall walls, and signage, and producing an Employee Safety Committee Plan. My focus is on using creative, inclusive, and interactive methods to promote safety awareness and involvement at all levels. I am committee to fostering a proactive safety culture through education, communication, and collaboration because we are safer together.
