Through advocacy work, I play a role in helping our members to amplify their voices in the tourism sector, assist with any issues faced by their destinations, and provide them with resources to overcome these obstacles. Assists our members with destination tools including the Event Impact Calculator, Compensation & Benefits platform, Equity, diversity, and inclusion platform, and our Destination Organization Reporting Platform which help to increase relevancy and awareness in the industry. Provide our members with advocacy tools to succeed including the destination relevance campaign, community shared value, and tourism lexicon. Further, research studies including community shared value, the tourism lexicon, DNEXT Studies, and resident sentiment provide our members with deeper insights into serving their communities.Help destinations navigate future challenges, including climate change, travel boycotts and bans, and crime and safety. Through our work, we are passionate about being the voice for destinations that are making impactful changes in their communities for generations to come.
