ABOUT STEPHANI SUNSERI MARTINEZ

I\'ve always had a knack for helping people help themselves and believe that access to mental healthcare is a human right. I realized early in my career that I could have a wider impact on mental health advocacy on the business side, optimizing systems to improve the provider and patient experience. Simply put: empowered providers are better equipped to help more people. I have led transformation and growth at mental healthcare companies in executive Payor Relations and Operations roles, scaling people, provider networks, and systems that bolster revenue streams. I am a skilled negotiator who can see both the business and patient journey, which has led to many strategic business and partner decisions over the years. My mission is clear: to build business strategies that balance the needs of clinicians AND pave paths for patients to receive affordable, quality, and speedy support. Psychology is the intersection of people and relationships, which has been the backbone of every project and business goal throughout my career. Some of my proud accomplishments have been: Renegotiated existing payor contracts with a 1.5M run rate, which contributed to successful sale of the company. Designing and implementing a tiered, regional pay system to provide equitable provider compensation, raising provider retention to 85%. Establishing a roadmap to delegate credentialing with payors and secured 80% of market share for each new market. Reducing time to schedule new appointments from six weeks to 20 minutes by building a centralized intake department for new patient calls.
