About Stephan Meyers

I’m an engineer and technologist working at the intersection of software systems, immersive media, and emerging human-computer interfaces.My background spans research labs, startups, and production engineering. Earlier in my career I worked in computer graphics and electronic visualization, contributing to interactive installations and stereoscopic imaging systems. Later at Nokia Research Center I helped develop experimental environments exploring the future of mobile media and personal technology.Over the past decade I’ve focused on building reliable production systems — primarily with Ruby on Rails and related technologies — while continuing to explore new areas such as wearable computing, spatial media, and experiential technology.Across all of these domains the common thread in my work is translating new ideas into working systems: prototypes, platforms, and tools that help people understand what emerging technologies can become.Areas of interest include:• immersive and spatial computing • wearable and personal technology • interactive environments and installations • computer graphics and visualization • media systems and digital rights technologies • cross-disciplinary work bridging art, research, and engineering
