ABOUT STEPHAN NOWAK

In my role as a manager, I focus on managing the change: Identify the best strategic opportunities, do the right decisions and implement These in order to leverage maximal advantage. In my career, I gathered experience as a change manager by starting up as well as closing down projects and organizations. During every step I learned and thereby extended my skill portfolio and my strategic skills, in line with my understanding of work as a permanent process of learning change. I am passionate in enabling new and disruptive workstyles, leadership styles, products, and processes. A sharp rational and analytical mindset helps me to quickly see the big picture and find the way to leverage competitive advantage. Leading teams and manage the ressources to implement the necessary steps makes a big part of my experience as well. I permanently long to challenge and improve my decision making skills, amongst others by being active as a volunteer lay judge at the local district court. To live and to work according to ethical values and to support diversity and sustainability is my principle guideline. Some details- setting up roadmaps for new technologie\'s development, explore and evaluate technology, IP and business positions of market players- establishing projects on disruptive material developments (Quantum dots, electroactive polymers, polyurethane materials) in company\'s R&D portfolio- rationally evaluating projects and implement strategic decisions - rating of emerging technologies - Setting up and leading diverse, globally distributed groups - Negotiating contracts and projects with international industrial and academic partners- Representing my company at international, cross-company workgroups, events and conferences- Qualification to lead gene technical laboratories (S1-S4).
