I am a climate scientist at Exeter University researching climate impacts, mainly in high mountains. I have completed 17 expeditions to Patagonia and the high Andes, and a further 11 field seasons working in the Himalayas and Tien Shan mountains. From this I have published over 170 peer-reviewed scientific papers. I am former holder of a Leverhulme Research Fellowship, the 2021 Walters-Kundert Fellow of the RGS, and I currently run a UK Government committee advising on the effects of climate change on large infrastructure projects. I developed and run Climate Change Risk Managment, one of Europe\'s first scientific consultancies to develop climate change services for businesses and governments. CCRM was set up in 2002 at Oxford University and now has 11 associates, all with PhDs. Please see for details or email: i•••@ccrm.co.uk. We have provided climate modelling and climate risk assessments for a number of governments worldwide including: UK, Ghana, Iraq, Pakistan, Tanzania and South Africa. We also work with UNEP, the World Bank and insurance companies worldwide.
